Picasso designed the cover art and title pages, and supervised production. The original edition, published by Abrams, has been out of print for many years, and is republished now in a glorious slip-cased edition, printed in nine-colors. A recognized art critic and historian, Georges Boudaille (1925-1991) contributed an essay to the book, which is also included here.
